The passengers have an outward view during the ride on the Skyguard and the rigid connection of the gondolas to the rim lead to an effective change of perspective. If the distance between the two slewing gears increases, the gondola rim contracts and the distance between the seat rows decreases. At the same time, the seats swivel forward, giving the passengers unobstructed views into the depths. How often this effect is traversed during the ascent to the top or on the way back, can be controlled by means of individual driving programs which are preselected at the control panel by the opreator.
